About Aubre

Builder first. Realtor by license, not by default.

I am Aubre J. Stacknick, a Global Real Estate Advisor with Piatt Sotheby's International Realty serving Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. I have more than 20 years across construction, renovation, design, marketing, and real estate, and I evaluate every home the way a builder would.

Most agents learn houses from the listing sheet. I learned them from the framing up. Custom building, renovation, design, and investing came first. Real estate advising is where all of it gets put to work for you.

Why am I a Builder first and a Realtor second?

I describe myself as a Builder, Renovator, Investor, and Real Estate Advisor, in that order. It is not a slogan. It is how I walk into every house.

When you tour a home with me, I am reading the roofline, the grading, the window install, and the quality of the last renovation before I ever get to the countertops. When I list your home, I can tell you which repairs buyers will pay you back for and which ones are money you will never see again.

Pretty gets your attention. What is behind it determines whether it is a smart buy.

What you get

What do I do differently from other agents?

  • A builder's read on every property. Structure, systems, drainage, workmanship, and the real cost of what comes next.
  • A plan before a price. Sellers get pricing options with the tradeoffs spelled out, not one number and a hope.
  • A coordinated team. Contractors, inspectors, stagers, estate attorneys, and CPAs I already trust, so you are not hunting for help mid-deal.
  • Global reach when you need it. Piatt Sotheby's International Realty connects relocating clients to advisors in markets around the world.
A story from Cranberry Township

What does a backup plan look like in a real sale?

A home on Morningside Drive drew multiple offers over asking. The sellers took the strongest one. Days before closing, that buyer's financing collapsed.

I had already kept the door open with another buyer, a cash offer. By then they had committed to a different house, and walking away from it would cost them $25,000. They wanted Morningside enough to take that hit.

We still closed over asking, and inside the 7-day window the sellers needed to keep their own North Carolina purchase on schedule. Their move never slipped.

That is what planning ahead looks like when it matters.
